Hubby got a job.. halfway across the country. So, in three weeks we will need to pack up, clean house, and move several days' travel with a toddler and two cats. New doctors will need to be secured.

It is a job worth moving for. He's excited about the company and the company is excited about him. It'll be enough for our family that I can stay home with the cubs and save on daycare costs that way. I've been longing for such a situation since the cub was born two+ years ago.

Still, it's stress and more busyness than we've had in months. Our house is a mess, so it must be both cleaned and packed at the same time. And one of those weeks has already been earmarked for visiting family over Thanksgiving.

We get by with a little help from our friends, I hope! Prayers and good wishes appreciated as we get ready to live at the edges of the plains.

What kind of moving allowance is Brian's job giving him? Will this be a professional move?

We're getting a decent amount (leery of throwing out numbers in a "public" space). It's up to us how it gets spent. We're debating packing ourselves and using PODS to move. That way, we can go on our own schedule, and hopefully save some cost.

Unfortunately, we can't get quotes for various services until we have addresses settled. So that also needs to be settled soon.
