Garanemu squatted under a bird's wing as the rain poured without end. He couldn't move without sinking in the mud, and he couldn't put down the wing without getting soaked. Gyrth wasn't due back until nightfall.

This would be less of a problem if the bird was still attached, he thought with some exasperation.
