It's been a while since I last posted. Partly this is because my lappy is slow and grumbly. Mostly, it has been a combination of tired mommy and clingy werecub. He's going through a "Mommy must stay within reach" phase. I can slip away when he's playing with something, but if he sees me leaving the room, there will be protests.

I don't always mind. It's nice to be snuggled up with a sleepy werecub in the morning while reading my friends list.

He's out of the cast (that was Friday, and that experience might be why he's clingy). He was fine with the cast cutter until they had to use it for the third time to get through a thick section around the knee. He hated getting his follow up X-rays. Now, he's slowly getting the muscle tone back on his right calf. He cruises and crawls like before, and is starting to stand again without support. Maybe first steps soon?

Taking a vitamin K2 supplement. It's paired with 2000 IU of D3. O.O Fortunately, it's hard to overdose on D unless you're taking ridiculous amounts (like 10,000 IU a day).

I've seen neat things I wanted to comment on, but I haven't had the time to put them on Livejournal. A quick link on Twitter is all I've managed.

Good luck. You may want to research magnesium in regards to vitamin D; apparently taking D can further deplete magnesium levels as D consumes large amounts of Mg to assimilate; many people are apparently low in Mg anyway and Mg levels are basically impossible to measure in any useful way. So if you need D, there's a good chance you need good Mg along with it.

I notice immediate problems when I take D without Mg, though I always seem low in Mg anyway; the best forms for me have been malate and chloride (oxide is compltely useless and citrate isn't much better). I've also heard the glycinate is good but have no direct experience with it.

We get our magnesium with another supplement since it pairs with D.

Awesome. ;) Just stay away from stuff like mg oxide, it's less than 5% absorbable! O_O
