Up is... wow. "Wholesome" barely begins to cover it.
Like all the best stories, it's a story about love. Not just the love of a man and a women together, but all the loves, big and small, that make a life full and worthy.
The premise is fantastical, but when I laughed, it wasn't a silly movie. I laughed at times because Russell or Dug or Carl would do something that was just so true to life. Like in most Pixar films, the personalities of the people in the film drive the narrative, and Pixar is touchingly honest in the portrayal of those people. I had several teary moments for that reason.
Recommend the movie. It's a favorite.
