Had another difficult night sleeping. Was up for a few hours, then moved to the couch and slept way in. Going to get some food and clean up, then we're going to the local botanical gardens. The Virginia Native Plant Society will be there for the annual plant sale. I'm hoping there will be Inkberry Holly, or the native honeysuckle.

Of course, anything we plant is going to have to be watered every day. Virginia's already turned up the heat for the summer.

Drink more water.

While the Venturers were out hiking on May Day, we kept walking through areas of staggering scent, like honeysuckle, except there were no flowering vines. It was the flowers of the black locust trees, which I never knew had a scent before. Wow.

We did the tram tour while at the gardens today, and the Magnolia trees were flowering. I've never seen a magnolia blossom in person before. They're HUGE.
