The power grab is so obvious, only those blinded by their ideology can't see it. And it is insidious because it's based upon a half-truth: that we should take care of the planet and not just exploit it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the sort of thing that the more liberal people rail against? Extravagant, wasteful spending that "empowers global elites?"

I wonder why they're not screaming about it yet, if they really mean what they say?

Also, I must confess that primarily what caught my attention was that you, of all people, used the abbreviation QFT - it implies a level of frustration I don't honestly recall seeing often, although I can easily understand its inspiration.
