In a sort of 6 million dollar man way. The motherboard was replaced, and
drewtiggy had a spare video card he wasn't using that was added.
drewtiggy wins one internet for his awesome computer rehabilitation skills. There's still some driver work and reinstalling to go through, but all the important data came through just fine, and the computer is better than ever.
I got to thoroughly examine the old motherboard and grill
drewtiggy and
anher on what all the bits were. Circuitboards are fascinating.
