When I was a little girl, TVs used to have spots showing starving kids in Africa with pleas for money to help them.

These days, I see spots showing starving and abused animals with pleas for money to help them.

I don't mind the animal commercials. Both of our kitties are shelter kitties.

I'm just wondering where all the little kid commercials went. And what that says about us that they're gone.

A lot of them were scams. I got taken twice by Christian Childrens' Fund and know others who have too.

They still have those hungry children ads on in the mornings, particularly on Sunday.
