The word "scarfs" should never be used to talk about more than one scarf. The word is scarves. You might as well talk about going out and buying some knifes. Or playing with elfs. *shudder*
"Scarfs" is suitable as the third person singular form of the verb "to scarf". As in, "My cat scarfs his food." (They both do, actually.) Note that this verb has nothing to do apparel.

Date: 2009-03-03 12:24 am (UTC)Lo! my servants have entered the kitchen! and Lo! my food appears! I must devour it as quickly as possible before my brother turns his eye to mine own share.
My belly is full, my hunger appeased. But now I need stroking and a warm place to sleep. Never you mind that scarfing my food as though it were coals for a blast furnace is what has caused my torpor.
Ah! this servant is stationed before the Many-Images! Nevermind that they are frozen in wonder at the booming and snapping noises it makes; I must have that lap!
I am warm and fed and snuggled. I am content.
I will get you soon, little laser dot...
