A moment to look at the real root causes.
I do a lot of reading at The Corner. Right now, there's a debate over the bailout that's interesting to me. Several people have said that the solution stinks, but the problem is so huge that a bad solution is going to be necessary to save what's left before we can work on fixing the causes.
From a personal point of view, it's important to spend wisely, to pay your debts, and to not live outside your means. Our government is representative of its people. Our people fail at these often; so, too, does our government and our financial institutions.
