Fantastic Contraption

I have yet to find solutions for 18, 20, and 21. It's too bad I didn't create an account to save my contraptions; some of them were wonderfully elegant (including the roller-backed crawler I built for the "Awash" level).

Nice. I used a cart with the block fixed on the front end, and a teeny little water rod as counterbalance so it'd tip upright after passing through.

Oh, and I solved the Tube after looking at others' solutions (some clever scissorworks and whatnot there): a tilted diamond with one strut and powered wheels at each corner, and an unpowered wheel dangling off the high side. What made it work was that I added a small triangle "shoe" to each of the powered wheels, so after some initial fumbling it caught the sides and started pushing upward.

Far too many of my contraptions were a single piece of ...something that somehow managed to fit the bill :)

After I found out that you could move the target piece inside the starting area, I was pretty much golden :)
