Whee!

Did some work outside, in the wonderful, wonderful spring weather. The front driveway has been swept and the weeds sprayed. Casper has had a trash-ectomy.

We're planning a camping trip. anher and I will go out and see some of the sights in Virginia. He's never seen Monticello, and I've walked only one Civil War battlefield, so there's lots for us to go do together.

Before the trip, I need to go over our camping gear and make sure it's all still in good shape. It'll be good to sweep the cobwebs out of my backpack.

Don't forget Pennsylvania. Gettysburg has just gotten a major rework of their visitor's center; it's supposed to be quite spectacular.

I was there many years ago and would like to go again. It'd just have to be it's own trip instead of a jaunt around the local sites.

I've been to Monticello a couple of times, and it's great, but I'd really like to do Madison's home, too, and that tavern down the hill from Monticello that dates back to Jefferson's time.
