The ceiling has been repaired, reflocked, and repainted, so that there's no sign of the massive gaping hole that was there. Today, I get to finish tidying up the bedroom so that we can stop sleeping out on the futon.

The AC is still not fixed, but the weather is still nice.

At some point very soon, we need to go up into the attic and clean up the rat mess up there so that the AC guy can come replace the leaky hose. This is a two person job for the very simple reason that it's possible to hurt yourself badly if you fall off the ladder while getting into or out of the attic, and there should be a second person around to get help if something like that happens.

After the AC is fixed, all that will remain is measuring and replacing the rat-damaged insulation.

Be sure to wear a face mask and gloves when you attack the attic. Sorry that you are having house woes, but you've gotta keep them up or they fall down around your ears.
