But I never finished the Windsor chain quest that leads to Onyxia. And the event where you march through Stormwind to confront the lady is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in the game, including the little bit of raiding I've done. It really felt epic to watch and tag along for, rather than just more killing or looting or gawking at nice scenery and multi-colored bosses.
So, if there's one thing I would want to go back to playing my Alliance pally for, it's to finish that chain. I wanna march through Stormwind while guards kneel around us and whisper in awe. I wanna expose dark villainy and take on evil. I wanna kick some dragonkin butt.
And that's something for me to remember as a GM in various role-playing games. Every once in a while, people want to get a chance to be the main characters, marching forth to be heroes. Every once in a while, the heroes get a procession. That's important. Even if it only happens once, later on, they'll remember how cool that was.
Of course, things like that have to be earned- that procession comes after several long battles and some luck finding the quest items. And it isn't the end of the story, either- you go on to get keyed for other events afterwards. Those are also important things to remember.

I have fond memories of a party returning to town to a cheering throng, carrying dwarven treasure over their backs, only to find that one of the characters had gotten the barmaid pregnant several months prior, and that her father had a very large crossbow, and really wanted them to get married. *evil GM grin*
