Folks may remember the 'flying imams' that were taken off a plane after doing everything possible to act suspicious. Well, they're now filing suit over the whole thing.

However, they're not just suing the airlines:

But the most alarming aspect of the imams' suit is buried in paragraph 21 of their complaint. It describes "John Doe" defendants whose identity the imams' attorneys are still investigating. It reads: "Defendants 'John Does' were passengers ... who contacted U.S. Airways to report the alleged 'suspicious' behavior of Plaintiffs' performing their prayer at the airport terminal."

Paragraph 22 adds: "Plaintiffs will seek leave to amend this Complaint to allege true names, capacities, and circumstances supporting [these defendants'] liability ... at such time as Plaintiffs ascertain the same."

In plain English, the imams plan to sue the "John Does," too.

News for the imams:

Don't blame John Doe for viewing you suspiciously when performing blatantly Muslim activities at the airport. Blame the radicals like Osama bin Laden for giving us REASONS to view you suspiciously.

It's human nature to associate things with similar things (i.e. one group of Muslims with another group of Muslims), and from time to time, those associations lead to incorrect conclusions (i.e. accidentally thinking of a peaceful, law-abiding Muslim as a terrorist). After all, it's EQUALLY human nature to goof up.

In short, gentlemen:
