The other day, I read the ingredients on my toothpaste for the first time ever. I noticed one in particular: titanium dioxide.

Thanks to Modern Marvels, I know what that is. It's what gives white paint its white color. While that probably means it's great for whitening my teeth, the thought that I stick it in my mouth regularly is a bit disquieting. It's probably not even all that bad for me. Probably completely inert. But still. It's paint coloring. Ick.

The less you know about what's in your hygiene products, the better.
