Every once in a while

The problem with owning the two best Star Trek films (2 and 4, in case you were wondering), is that you can only watch them so many times before you start wanting to see the one in the middle.
Not because it's a great film. It's just that they so obviously work together as a set, with one flowing into the next, so you get that irritating feeling of having missed an episode if you skip 3 all the time.
Well, HBO showed Star Trek 3: Search for Spock today, and I watched it. I'm sated for a while. It was as B-movieish as I recalled, but the need has been filled.
Incidentally, I have a memory from my childhood, way back during the last football strike. Since there was no game that Monday, the station was showing movies instead. The same announcer that did the Monday night football lineup announced what was showing. "Next: Star Trek 3; Football, zero."
It's an amusing memory, but I'm glad the football folks learned from that experience and haven't gone on strike in a good long time.
