Video goodness

drewtiggy is currently visiting. He leaves after this weekend. One of the final things he has done while here is purchase a new video card for his computer (which he has with him). He generously donated his old video card to our household, and it was quickly discovered that it would not fit within anher's computer. So, I have a new graphics card. Heck, I have a graphics card that isn't integrated with the mother board! I am quite happy with the settings.

Haven't tried it out with any of my graphics intensive programs, yet.

Next on the list- more RAM for anher, and eventually a flat screen monitor for me. These being very long term goals, it may be some time before either one is accomplished, but it's nice to have something to look forward to.

Why won't it fit? Is the graphics card AGP or PCI-Express? Sounds like Anher will need to get a new Motherboard soon.

Yarr, 'tis so. Anher has an AGP board, purchased 'bout two and a half years ago. It's not a terrible board, but you're right in that he'll need a new one within the next year or so.
