I hate when this happens.

I've been working on a character background. It's been tough going. The springboard has been a list of questions the GM handed out, which has helped me consider all the angles, but, now that I have it together, I can't just break it up according to the questions. On the other hand, it refuses to come out in a proper narrative, either. I worked on it a little bit Monday and yesterday, with little result, but at least something was written down.

When I got up this morning, my computer was shut down instead of in sleep mode or running its screensaver. I have no idea why it was shut down (maybe Windows ran an update- grr). I went ahead and booted it up and did my morning comics run and stuff, and just now sat down to type up more character history.

Everything I'd typed from the previous two days failed to get saved. While I normally save this stuff fairly often, I'd been staring at the screen and not getting much down, so I'd forgotten. Now, it's all gone, and any work will have to be begun from scratch.

Are you handling your SAD? It could be that your forgetfulness is due to the winter blues. I haven't been using the lights and I can tell it is effecting me.

I've been using my lights.

I suspect the writer's block is part of my SAD, though.

It just seems like you can't win with SAD. Even with sunshine all the time it just isn't the same as Summer. At least the days are getting longer.
