Gay couple's divorce case back in lower R.I. court.

Louis Pulner, a lawyer for Chambers, said his client filed for divorce in Rhode Island because the couple never lived in Massachusetts and cannot bring a divorce case there.

Sigh.

A controversial sign outside a Central Florida Hooter's restaurant reading "plagiarism saves time" located near a school has been removed.

As if they needed encouragement.

Nor do middle schoolers really need the other sort of encouragement that is always available at Hooters. But you can't really do away with that.

Not disagreeing with you, just sayin'.

(That Hooters is not far from where I live. I think I've been in there once, with friends, while waiting for other friends to go shoot pool in the place about 100 yards away.)

Yeah. Really, it seems less than a cause and more a signpost of where our culture's currently at.

If we were a culture that really disapproved of plagiarism, it wouldn't take a complaint from a teacher to remove that sign. The patrons would simply stop showing up to the restaurant, and it would change or go out of business.
