Ups and downs

Good food on Thanksgiving. Enjoyed the company, too. Went to book fair. Played Cranium and Euchre. Won a lot. Watched a cousin-in-law and my husband play racing games and shoot stormtroopers together.

Also, it seems, caught a cold from one of the aunts in attendance. Ah, well. It was a good time overall.

So glad that you both had a good time. You have instant extended family! :-)

Anher can tell you about the many years we made the traditional trips to the family farm in Yorktown (now D & A's farm), for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Then, when Aunt Annie moved to H'burg we made many trips to visit from Anher's childhood home in No. Virginia. These were always wonderful events.

I prayed for your safe travel and upbeat experience.

I'm generally very happy with the layout, though there is more work that needs to be accomplished! Pages that need to be filled out with more explanations and setting bits, mostly.

It must take a lot of time and careful scrutiny to compile the characters, the themes, the story(ies). It seems so complex.

Most of it's record-keeping- players come up with their fair share of things. The rest... is inspiration. I don't keep track of how long it takes to come up with plot ideas or setting, but both anher and I take time for research and to share thoughts.

Right now, we have a big plot involving coming up with as many fairy tale characters we can. It's amazing how quickly you can use up the familiar stuff.
