“The thing that has changed over the past month is that they now want to kill us,” said Bruno Beschizza, the leader of Synergie, a union to which 40 per cent of officers belong. Action Police, a hardline union, said: “We are in a civil war, orchestrated by radical Islamists.”

United Press International: Anniversary may spark new French riots

Though it seems odd to say it may spark 'new' riots with an average of 112 cars burned per day, and an average of 15 attacks per day on police and emergency services.

Why isn't this more in the news? Isn't the disorder of one of the biggest players in the EU worthy of notice?

Note the call to expand Muslims to 50% of the US population.

What's the percentage in France?
Total population: 62.3 million
Muslim population: Five to six million (8-9.6%)

Not even ten percent.

I don't think just sheer population is the problem for France, though. There's France's bad economy, its bizarre immigration policies, and its cradle-to-grave welfare state to consider, too. You have a lot of 'youths' who don't need to have jobs, and even when they want them, can't get them. France also celebrates its diversity by insisting that immigrants not join the rest of the country in being French.
