I was just watching Before the Dinosaurs on The Discovery Channel. At one point the narrator was talking about a bunch of plant eating reptiles and the stones in their stomachs that they use to grind up food. He said, "These stones are called gastropods."

Uh....

You know, a mistake of that order should never make it past the folks who edit the scripts.

Snails are gastropods (stomach foots). Stones used to grind up food are called gastroliths (stomach rocks).

You can learn a lot from these TV programs. Including the fact that they aren't always correct.

The howlers in History and Religion programs are even worse.
