New place, new adventure!
Dec. 6th, 2012 10:10 amSo, last week we drove across country and moved into the new place. I've finally gotten some time to sit and catch my breath today.
The kitties did okay on the long drive. We sedated them at the beginning of each day. While it wore off by the end of the day, the dose at the beginning was enough to keep them calm through the initial panic stages. It took them only a few hours to get confidence to explore the whole house. They've been very good and haven't acted out besides some growling at each other at first.
The hubby started his new job Monday, and he's been pleased with all of it so far. I get to stay home with the werecub. We decided to skip out on cable and just get good internet. Between all the various streaming services available right now, we don't watch enough of the "everyday" TV shows to miss out by skipping on cable.
There are still boxes everywhere. Our house is only about one third set up. So, my plan is to do some unpacking as I can, then rest when I need to. And amid this all, I still have to chase after a very active little werecub. We did find out that there is a VERY nice park with play area within walking distance.
Those of you who planned to send cards or gifts will need to message me for our new address. While we're renting the old place to a friend of ours, I can't guarantee that somebody will be at that house to pick up a delivery during December.
