Word grump of the day
Mar. 2nd, 2009 06:19 pmThe word "scarfs" should never be used to talk about more than one scarf. The word is scarves. You might as well talk about going out and buying some knifes. Or playing with elfs. *shudder*
"Scarfs" is suitable as the third person singular form of the verb "to scarf". As in, "My cat scarfs his food." (They both do, actually.) Note that this verb has nothing to do apparel.
