Tonight's adventures
Aug. 13th, 2007 12:22 amThe show was good. We got in line an hour early and thus had seats very close to the stage. There were lots of good jokes.
Since it was in a club, they served food and drinks. We split an appetizer and ordered alcoholic stuff. I was going to order a froofy girl drink, but they told me that they weren't able to make frozen drinks tonight.
Okay, so I looked at the frozen drink list and saw margaritas on it. I hate slushy-style margaritas, but I like real ones. So, I ordered a textbook margarita on the rocks. In those words.
The waitress still had to ask me if I wanted a salt rim. *facepalm* And when it arrived, it came in one of those curvy glasses that usually have umbrellas and something mixed with rum in them. So, in spite of not ordering a froofy girl drink, it sure looked like I was drinking one. (It also came with a straw. Who drinks a proper margarita with a straw?)
Ah, well. It was a good margarita.
The warm-up comic was pretty good. Jeff Dunham was loads of fun. He had a puppet I hadn't seen before (Achmed, the dead terrorist), and we got lots of Walter, Peanut, and Jose. Worth the price of admission.
