A Presbyterian church building was sold to a local Islamic Association, turning down offers from two Christian churches.

Co-pastor J. Daniel Hignight was asked "if he would ever seek to lead a member of the Islamic Society to Jesus Christ." He replied, "I don't feel a particular need to convert them to Christianity."

I suppose he probably doesn't feel any need to convert anybody to Christianity.

It's a sad story. The leadership was likely lost long before the building was.

Steyn: U.N. shows why it's incapable of reform

Just another good Steyn article. You can find a succint summary of the UN's problems at the Guardian Watchblog.

Cemetery to bury all, Christians too, facing Mecca

Sure, you can 'opt out', but I really despise 'opt out' solutions and offers. It's all too easy to end up stuck with something you don't want because nobody bothered to mention the thing that they allow you to opt out of.

It's a slimy, underhanded method of business.

EDIT: Another weird article- A DRIVER spent two nights in jail after being accused of "revving his car in a racist manner".

The incident took place in Scotland.

Muslim rallies threaten Pope Benedict XVI.

The Pope is being threatened because of a lecture he gave on the essentialness of reason to Christianity. In the lecture, he quoted a few things said by a Byzantine emperor which were unflattering to Islam.

The actual address. (Good reading, by the way!)

This is beyond ridiculous. How do you expect to persuade people that you aren't violent when your method of persuasion is to threaten to kill them?
