Because nobody's produced numbers saying "this many people were kept here, this many were proven criminals", but there are a number of stories which suggest that many of the people kept at Guantanamo were not, and only a few were. Also the principle of "innocent until proven guilty" theoretically applies not just to citizens, but also to enemies. I mean, isn't that what trials are meant to prove? I'm sorry, I mean closed-session military tribunals which have regularly not allowed prisoners to see the evidence against them?
