High entropy day
Jan. 14th, 2015 12:49 pmIt's no surprise that people often get sick when under stress. It seems that I have a knack for ensuring that stress is expressed bodily. Since I haven't been exposed to any fresh germs lately, I instead failed the simple task of walking down stairs while carrying a basket. At first, I thought I got off lightly with a couple of modest bruises. Now that there's been time for various parts to register, I have a bruised heel, some swollen toes (just the middle ones, at least), and my abdominal muscles are complaining (the same ones that were sliced open to let the baby out two years ago).
So, instead of folding laundry or cooking or doing anything I wanted to get done today, I am lying on a couch and icing my foot. Argh. I am hoping that all of this fades by the weekend, since we're going to help cook for a pile of Scouts down at Maumee Scout Reservation.
Meanwhile, I want to make a cake today or tomorrow, because younger cub turns two tomorrow.
