Sick household
Oct. 28th, 2011 06:45 amSo, I got socked with the flu yesterday and feel awful this morning. This was not helped by the cub waking up around 4:40 and not going back to sleep.
I'm calling in to work today. There's just no way. I'd either pass out or murder somebody before my first break.
The cub went to the doctor yesterday, due to some bowel irregularities. They took some blood and determined that it's not due to allergies or bacteria, but that his white blood cell count is up. So, he has a virus, probably the one I brought home from work. So far, it hasn't affected him enough to give him fever or even a runny nose. We'll see.
They prescribed some medicated diaper cream to treat the rash, and told us to give him lots of fluids to keep him regular and flush any germs through.
I need sleep, but I also need to stay up long enough to call in sick.
