Sometimes, when I look at the werecub's face, I can see what he'll look like as a young boy. Just for a moment, the curves and lines will suddenly give a glimpse of some rambunctious seven year old, playing in the mud.

The extra set of hands this weekend, to help hold the baby and to cook with in the kitchen, it's been wonderful. If all goes well, then someday, it will be possible to do that more often than once or twice a year. Until then, I can look forward to those visits. It's all so much easier, so much more fun, so much more satisfying.

Family and friends are a great gift.
