Getting the hang of things
Jun. 27th, 2010 06:23 pmSlowly getting the hang of being a mom to a newborn. Lots of sleeping during the day, yet, but I have hope that he will have fewer night-time fussy episodes as time goes on. Hard part now that I'm learning how to get enough sleep is finding time to eat properly. :p My mom made a lot of good food to eat, just gotta actually eat it!
Went to the pediatrician on Friday. While the Werecub was being weighed, I heard somebody say, "They're weighing that baby." A man with what looked like a 3-4 year old girl on his hip was pointing out our werecub on the scale. He said, "It's been a while since you were that small." Then, after a pause, "Actually, I don't think you were ever that small."
It made me smile.
I was getting stressed with all the time spent nursing at night and not sleeping, but then I read online someone discussing how much time is spent on sterilizing bottles and heating formula for bottle-fed babies, which makes nursing more convenient most of time. There's a tradeoff no matter what you choose. Perspective makes it easier to deal with the ones I've chosen.
