Getting started
Jun. 5th, 2010 11:04 amSlow moving, this morning. I slept in, then had a leisurely breakfast while catching up on things online. Now, it's time to make the grocery list for this week and then go shopping.
tuftears posted a recipe he attempted a while back using cabbage as filler in meatloaf. He used Napa cabbage (that elongated, Chinese cabbage). I think I'll try something similar, but use red cabbage. I like red cabbage, and it has lots of good vitamins and fiber. I'll probably post the recipe if it turns out well.
So, shopping, then home to cycle dishes through the dishwasher and do some baking. I plan on overproducing foods over the next couple of weeks so I can eat some and freeze some. Today's project will probably be either lasagna or banana nut bread.
I would not have guessed, when I started this journal many moons ago, that I'd post so much about cooking! I do like trying out new things, then sharing the results with others.
