Feb. 27th, 2010 08:03 pmMy dad's either sprained or torn a muscle in his leg. I'm grateful it wasn't anything more serious. As it is, he'll be stuck taking it easy for a while as things heal; several days to maybe two weeks or more.
Prayers for him and my mom are appreciated.
While trolling trift stores for dressers, we found a nifty cabinet in good condition (for $40) that will replace the rickety shelf in our kitchen. As a result, the kitchen got moved up in our "overhaul the house" project. We're both worn out after the hunting and hauling, but at least we bagged something good.
Three poems done, four to go. I'm through the requests for stringent forms, and into the more flexible ones. (Two don't care, one wants rhymes, and the last is for an ode without stating what kind.) These might not be any easier! I often need to figure out a form before I get more than a thought or two into a poem. Even my free verse tends to fall into some kind of structure when I do it. Otherwise, I guess I'd be writing prose.
