Over the weekend, I did manage to get some new dress shoes, to replace the cheapie ones I got from Wal-Mart ages ago.
They were beat up and the heels were going and they pinched, so it was time for them to go.
The shoes I got were on sale at the local Sears. Real leather, stitched inside and out, for $30. Moc toe, too, with a nice, wide foot and completely flat sole.
Oh, they are so much more comfortable. I think half the aches and pains I used to deal with at work vanished just from changing footwear.
The look isn't quite what I'm used to wearing, but they're still black dress shoes, so I'm going to wear 'em until they wear out. Then I might get 'em resoled if I can.
Once again, I face that great truth - buy better quality shoes, regardless of whether they're more expensive. They'll last longer, and your feet will thank you!
