Feeling better. Still tired- had some trouble sleeping last night- but the stomach problems seem to have cleared up for now.
They're moving us to a new location at work. The company has been expanding, so Customer Service has been moved to a whole new building, and now my dept is being moved to the area vacated by Customer Service.
This is a problem.
The desks are smaller than ours. Much smaller. They are missing an entire row of file drawers we are used to having (on each cubicle). Also, the isles are smaller, which is less of an issue, but still problematic. We're a quiet bunch, but it's going to feel almost claustrophobic over there.
Customer Service, after all, doesn't handle much research itself, or have anything to do with checks. We, however, do lots of research and frequently have batches of checks that are still being balanced or researched. All checks have to be locked up at night.
I'm wondering where we're going to put it all.
The end of year rush has left a minor wreckage in my Things To Do yet, so I've been plunking away at it. The temp that helps with my stuff is getting much better. She doesn't always ask questions, which means that sometimes she does it wrong and nobody knows until the mistake comes back. I'd rather be bothered ten times a day by someone who asked to make sure. In the long run, it's less work. Still, she's learning. She'll get there. Nobody is an expert in one day, or even one week. I'm glad she's willing to learn and doesn't make excuses.
