I blame [livejournal.com profile] haikujaguar for this. At least partially. It was her suggestion at the last Feast of Poetry that prompted me to write this poem: http://stryck.livejournal.com/720736.html?thread=1747552#t1747552

At the time, I'd rather wistfully thought that I wished there was more to go with it. The idea has quietly surfaced a couple of times in the past month.

Today, shortly after I got into work this morning, it started pestering me and won't leave me alone. And, while having a muse show up can be nifty and all, having it happen when you're a work and need to concentrate stinks!

So, I'm printing off a copy of the poem to rework a little. I will probably start fleshing out some more of the setting here soon, because my brain won't shut up about it.

Like I really need another setting that I don't have time to work with. But my brain just keeps going "dragon samurai!" to all my protests.

I admit it, I find dragon samurai to be really cool.
