Stupidity knows no schedule
Aug. 20th, 2007 05:14 amAt 3:30 this morning, the phone rings. It's
anher's work. Some tool or something hadn't been checked out properly, and his shop was getting blamed, so the guy on watch called
anher.
I suppose there is something to be said for being the guy people rely on to know the answers and solve these problems, but 3:30 in the morning (on a day off!) is ridiculous. And you can't ignore calls at 3:30 in the morning, because you'd think it'd be some major problem or emergency if they decide to call that early.
Needless to say, neither of us managed to get back to sleep. I think I'll chug some orange juice and contemplate the coming day for a while. Maybe I'll fall back asleep while sitting on the couch.
Take this as a warning for anybody getting married- whatever job your spouse has will, indeed, affect your life too. Especially if it's one where he's officially buggable at all hours.
