Unique terminology
Mar. 29th, 2007 10:13 amDue to my father and also where we've lived, I've picked up some phrases that aren't common currency in the wider world. Things like my heart bleeds peanut butter I know I can blame on
aefenglommung.
But yesterday, complaining about something on World of Warcraft, I said that those things "stink on ice". Someone else on the channel immediately said that they'd never heard that phrase before.
I'm pretty sure that one is also one that I picked up from
aefenglommung, but now I'm wondering if that's so and also where it came from originally. My guess is something to do with fish at market, myself.
I'm also curious about what other interesting phrases are out there. Got a few?
