Ewwwww...

It's messy and cold and raining out. It'll be a fun (read: bad traffic and high winds) trip to the relatives' place tonight. I did manage to bake some Devonshire Splits, and the bread flour did make a difference. This time, they're lighter, more like store rolls. They also came out a dark brown, leading me to wonder if I used too much sugar in the dough. Probably, since I didn't measure very well.

Yesterday was tough, emotionally. I wasn't looking forward to Thanksgiving. Not even the book fair. Today, I'm feeling better. There's mandatory holiday fun at anher's work, and then this evening we drive out. We have a friend watching the cats, one who's done it before.
