alpharaposa: (bedtime)
Brian gets back to work tonight. He has watch, though, so he goes in for his watch hours rather than his normal work hours. In fact, this is one night where nobody in his shop is working their normal hours (things like that happen sometimes, and I always find it a little amusing).

The front room has been greatly overhauled. Three persistent boxes have finally been unpacked and removed in our quest for more space and cleaner conditions. Two are left, and then we'll have everything we were supposed to have unpacked two years ago unpacked. Oy. The kitties are somewhat distressed at all the changes, but not so much as to keep them from snoozing happily in the newly clean areas.

Brian and I went out for Chinese yesterday. (We were both kind of feeling icky and tired, and I really wanted some egg drop soup.) There were crab legs, done properly. My fortune cookie told me, "The love of your life is right in front of you." Awwwww....

As for crab legs being done properly- I've noticed that a lot of restaurants like to slice crab legs in half when they cook and serve 'em. And that always tastes flat and kind of seawatery to me. I'm not sure what the actual difference is, but crab legs always taste better if they're still entirely in the legs. And besides, it is kind of fun to tear your way in and suck out lumps of slightly sweet bug (well, crustacean) meat.

I plan on getting to a little more cleaning while Brian is at work, then addressing a few quests I need to polish off in WoW. Stupid Mithril Order....
