Why job hunting sucks

So many listings I see when I go looking say "high energy, outgoing, loves people"! Even for folks who will mostly be sitting at a computer, doing admin work, there's those tags.

Might as well just say, "Extraverts only!"

I can certainly sympathize. Maybe dosing yourself up on caffeine before an interview, to get that extra "perk", might help, eh? *chuckles*

One day, some years ago, I had managed to thirstily down four caffeinated Coca-Colas in two hours. Then I drove to work in a minor rush, and the adrenaline mixed with the caffeine caused my heart to race in a semi-panic reaction. I didn't fully calm down again for another two hours.

And I worked no faster, nor shone any brighter, because of it.
